it is veterans day again and time to look at all the men who have given life and limb for freedom. and not just our freedom but freedom for every country who has ever asked for our help. how many americans have left their blood in other countries? we have given father son brother husband and now mothers sisters wives..... how many more must die before we learn the lesson God gave to cain. what was accomplished by the killing of his brother abel. the beginning of hate. the beginning of war. and we have not skipped a beat. when was the last year there was no war? eden. and what have we done with eden? where is the beauty? what is untouched? what have we not defiled? we deserve what is coming to us. who has stood up? who has tried to stop the violence? when will it end? it seems everyone talks of pace but none ever really try to find it. hate has too many good sides most is money. too many want money. can ones soul be bought? i hope so because that is the thing most are hoping will save them. most will hold out for that almighty dollar before the Almighty. i am praying for all the good men and women in iraq and afghanistan because the men running this world are not. they are looking for the almighty dollar. i thank all the veterans who risked everything because they followed orders hoping the orders came from people who were truly trying to help mankind as i know american soldiers are doing now. i hate to think of the good that may have been if the good men and women were not casualties of these nonsensical wars. what could have been if hate had not prevailed. what have we lost? what have we given up? something that can never be brought back. peace and blessings, kate
